Beauty| 17 Chocolate Eclair Lipstick

When I find an affordable nude lipstick suitable for us darker skinned sisters, I feel it's my duty to spread the word! This forgotten shade has been sitting in my collection for a while now and since stumbling upon it a few weeks back, it has been my go-to lipstick.
It is a gorgeous creamy dark pink colour, with a browny glaze; an almost perfect match to my natural lips. Although it's matte and smooth in texture, it doesn't leave your lips parched. The colour is long-lasting too which is perfect for lazy girls like me who hate having to retouch their make-up numerous times during the day.
Available from boots for only £4.29, I would definitely recommend this as an inexpensive everyday lipstick to add to your collection. You can see me wearing it in my last post here.

P.S This is not a sponsored post, I bought this lipstick myself!

OOTD| Pythagoras

Dress: River Island (really old though)
Sandals: New Look

Don't you just love rediscovering great pieces while shopping in your own wardrobe? I know I do!
I forgot I even owned this River Island triangle print dress until I stumbled upon it the other day whilst attempting to organise the mess my wardrobe has become. The only thing is, I literally almost pulled a muscle trying to squeeze myself into it as it's a size 12 and I haven't worn that size in a looooong time lol!
I remember falling in love with the feminine shape of the dress and the quirky print when I bought it for my PGCE graduation back in 2010. For some strange reason I don't recall wearing it much after that so it's still in great condition.
I wore it again a few days back for dinner at the Harvester and due to the satin(ey) material it's made from, I sweated like a pig so I doubt I'll be wearing it much this summer. I'm actually looking forward to wearing it in the winter with thick black tights and ankle boots, a typical Lydia winter look!

And in other random news, I got white shellac on my toes! I've been wanting to try white polish for a while and finally took the plunge last week and got a shellac-pedi. So far I'm loving it despite the boyf calling me TipEx toes!

Events| Wireless Festival

I had a stupid amount of fun at last week's Wireless festival. Not only was it my first festival EVER, it was also in North London, minutes away from where I grew up.With great company in tow, I drank, I danced and frolicked the day away. I've definitely caught the festival bug and I'm currently scouring the net for my next festival fix!

OOTD| Lost but Found

Hat: eBay
Jacket: George@Asda
Dress: Primark
Tights: Primark
Boots: KG at Kurt Geiger

My laptop is on the verge of dying completely; I'm back at work now; I have a teething diva and my list of excuses continue as to why I've been so inconsistent with blogging of late. I won't lie I've missed every minute of it! I'm hoping regular posting will commence in the next few weeks.
After ransacking my wardrobe several times, I'd accepted that that this Primark dress was lost forever. I'd only worn it a few times and was saving it for Summer, so I was gutted when I thought I'd never find it again.Thankfully I found it and it's just as gorgeous as I remembered. I actually wore this earlier on today before the sun decided to grace us with its presence. As usual I had a few errands to run and I just gravitated towards this ensemble. The stonewash denim jacket is a new addition to my wardrobe from George @ Asda - which is actually becoming a firm favourite of mine for a cheeky fashion fix. I've worn it to death already despite only owning for a week. The fedora was more of coverup than a stylish addition; my braids are fast approaching their expiration date and are just not tidy anymore. *Sigh*
I'm off to a street food festival tomorrow and I'm considering recycling this look lol! What do you think?

OOTD| 27

'So much to blog about, so little time' has been my dilemma of late. Regular posting will resume in the very near future. Promise! In the meantime, this is a quick post to let you know that I did a guest post on the lovely Jade-Jenna's blog which you can find here. All the outfit details and my regular verbal (or should I say textual?) diarrhoea can be found there.
