Lifestyle| When in Rome

I initially feigned excitement when the mister told me he had booked us a weekend break to Rome last month; being a sun, sea and sangria kinda of gal and all, I wasn't quite sure I'd enjoy it. But I was truly captivated by the City and it's breath taking buildings and rich history.
Although we didn't get to explore all that Rome had to offer (due to the short time we spent there), we most certainly had a tantalising taste of Roman life.
Alongside consuming copious amounts of Pinot Grigio, grazing on gelato and feasting on fresh pasta, we visited the Colosseom and wandered over to the Trevi fountain which was unfortunately being refurbished at the time.
However our visit to the fountain wasn't in vain.
A mere few inches away from the fountain the Mister got down on one knee and popped the question!
I'm getting married people!
Little did I know this Roman adventure of ours was actually just a backdrop to what would be the beginning of the rest of our lives (please excuse the overt mushiness).
So yes, Rome was absolutely ah-may-zing and it'll definitely have a special place in my heart.
