Mummyness| Baby Haircare

After turning the grand old age of nine months, I thought it was about time I put a proper hair care regimen in place for Naila's coarse curls. I searched high and low for products that were inexpensive; as natural as possible; sulphate and paraben free and mineral oil free - which wasn't as easy as I initially thought. Everything that matched my criteria in terms of ingredients was far too pricey for this newly self-confessed frugalista! I even considered the possibility of making my own products for her, but due to a lack of time and patience I quickly dismissed the idea.
Luckily, I randomly stumbled upon the Curly Kids line of products whilst browsing the aisles of Paks cosmetics. Although the hair line is aimed at mixed hair, I didn't let that dissuade me as most of their products are 'developed for curly, kinky, coily and frizzy hair'; all of which are applicable to Naila's multi-textured strands.
I decided to try: the Super Detangling Shampoo, the Super Detangling Conditioner, the Super Detangling Spray and the Curl Defining Lotion, costing only £2.99 each. Bargain!

I've been using the products for a good 6 weeks now and I'm definitely impressed so far. I use the Super Detangling spray and the Curl Defining Lotion a few times a week when restyling her hair. The spray melts away her knots, making combing her hair a drama-free occasion and the lotion makes her hair silky soft and very defined. The other products are used once or twice a week on wash day and they too leave her gorgeous curls soft, clean and moisturised; they smell pretty darn good too which is always a bonus.

Naila's freshly washed, conditioned, detangled and moisturised hair

I think I'll be using this range for the foreseeable future and will try other products from the range as her grows longer and longer. I'm hoping to keep Naila's product stash a lot smaller and less complicated than my own so I'm only stocking the essentials at that moment.

I'll keep you posted on any new additions to her stash. xXx
