Personal| New Year goals

I don't intend on making any New Year's resolutions this year (because let's face it - half of us fall off the wagon before the end of January anyway), but I do have a few small goals and plans that I refer to as the 6Fs that I would like to achieve throughout the year.
  1. Faith - I don't talk much about faith and/or religion on here and most of you probably don't know that I am a Christian. This year I intend to work on having a better relationship with God by praying more and reading and reflecting on His Word daily. I have no excuse, I have the Bible app and Our Daily Bread (a daily devotional) app on my phone and tablet!
  2. Family - I need to spend quality time with the people that matter most. My goal is to have more family days out with the kiddies, spend more quality time with the hubby and make long-lasting memories with my immediate family. Although I'm lucky to see my parents nearly everyday, I realise I don't actually SPEND TIME with them which will hopefully change this year.
  3. Friendships - Similar to my family goals, I intend to make less excuses and make more time  for my besties. I realise that sending the odd WhatsApp message is not good enough! I need to actually pick up the phone more, make actual plans and be less flakey. On the flip side, 2015 is the year that I only have genuine friendships; not the one sided type, but friendships that are equal. I was quite disappointed with some friends last year and instead of ending these seemingly toxic relationships, I made excuse after excuse as to why I wouldn't cut that person/people out of my life. I am no longer about that life! If you can't be happy with me when I am happy or there for me when I need you - especially when I've been more than a good friend to you - then I can no longer be your friend.
  4. Finances - What a mess! This year is all about sorting out the mess and living within my means. Goodbye random splurges, hello monthly budget and savings accounts.
  5. Fitness - I need to move more. It's not rocket science and I actually enjoy it when I do it, but why is it so hard to remain consistent with it? Although I didn't do too badly last year, I've still got a long way to go with my fitness journey. I plan to be way more active and healthy this year and hopefully lose some lbs while I'm at it. I intend to eat cleaner, work out harder and just push myself a whole lot more.
In 2015 I'm also looking forward to:
  • Planning my wedding *eek*
  • Possibly changing career
  • Being more sociable - hosting dinner parties, get togethers etc...
  • Travelling more - within England and abroad
  • Festivals
  • Blogging more and mingling with other bloggers
  • Being happy

What are your goals for the new year?

  1. You are planning your wedding CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN xxx and I didn't make any resolutions but I did just make plans and I am actually doing them yaaay. I really truly wish you all the best and happiness. You are a wonderful person, am glad you're not sick anymore. My number one goal is to find a way to let out stress and I am actively doing that. lovely post as always can't wait for more. :)

    1. Thank you lovely! Yes wedding planning this year, I feel stressed just thinking about it lol! Good luck with all you have planned for the year, I'm sure you'll be successful in achieving them all. Stress is also a big one for me, I too will be working on that this year. Xx
